This course consists of 6 modules covering the GSAS Site category and its criteria. Environmental impacts resulting from unsustainable site practices include, land contamination and ecological value deterioration; biodiversity deterioration, water pollution and air pollution. Factors that could mitigate environmental impact include, preserving or enhancing land quality, preserving biodiversity of the site, controlling erosion and prevent off-site sedimentation, minimizing negative impacts of earthworks activities and minimizing negative impacts of dewatering activities.
